As promised these are my progress shot from creating my Asuna piece 'SAO: 'The Flash' Yuuki Asuna' all in a handy animated gif!

Some of the early stages are missing, because it didn't even occur to me to document it, and there's one or two gaps in the later stages where I got so involved I forgot! haha. But basically, this is how I created it.

I started with a basic sketch, though as you can see it took a few tries to get everything looking the way I wanted, then it became line art where I added a lot of the details and onto colouring!

It took about 20 hours in total, and was done entirely in Adobe Photoshop CS4 with a Wacom tablet.

... yes! I still haven't learnt! :P
The main colouring I still do as one layer, so the lines are obviously their own layer then all of Asuna's colour is another (one) layer. The clouds are a layer, and the lines on the floor are a layer but yes all the floor colouring is one layer as well. I knoooow, I just find it so much easier that way! >.<
